1991 - Australia - Frost in France - beginning of "original" vinifications in Montigny
-1991 began, with Stéphane leaving for Australia to work at BROWN BROTHERS in Milawa in northeast Victoria for 5 months.
-1991 was marked in the Jura by a big frost April 21 in which all the buds were destroyed. That was followed by a very small harvest.(12 hectares/hectoliter)
In Montigny the vinification changed with the first purchase of new barrels for the Chardonnay (the cuvée of Chardonnay would be made from 50% tank and 50% barrel fermented wine) and a cuvée of Pinot Noir with pigeage and barrel ageing.
