20 September 2006 - SGN of Trousseau
The Trousseau is on early-ripening hillsides. The rain at the end of August brought some rot. With the good weather in September, the grapes shriveled and the rot eliminated some of the water in them. We had noble rot, something we have never seen in the Jura at that time of the year...and so, we picked the noble rot grapes, grape by grape and we had 340 liters of must at 21° potential.
This sweet wine was vinified like a white, but has a slight rosé color with aromas of grapefruit and exotic fruits. A first.
